Goals: My goals for the next two years are to run a sub 3-hour marathon and to improve my time in the 5k and 10K.

College: Texas State University – BS Exercise Sports Science

​

Career: Physical Education teacher at Fort Worth ISD. I teach Kindergarten thru 5th grade students. I also work part time for the City of Fort Worth at Community Center and volunteer at Texas Health Hospital. If I am not working, volunteering, or running I am spending time with my mom and four siblings.

Inspiration for running: Running helps me stay healthy, motivated, and happy. Running and life go hand in hand. Running teaches you to challenge yourself and helps you reach your goal. Life is the same way you set goals for yourself and you accomplish those goals. There may be bumps in the road but you step out your comfort zone and persevere. What motivates me every morning is the love for the sport and the feeling you get after you’ve done a hard workout on the track or completed a great easy run. Throughout the day I am a happier person and I have more energy
